Privacy — the short, honest version.

This site collects very little: what you type into a contact form, and the server logs every website has. Here is exactly what happens to it.

Who runs this site

This website is run by Smit Desai, an independent software engineer based in Ahmedabad, India. Questions about this policy go to the email button at the bottom of this page.

What is collected

When you send a message through a contact form, the site stores the name, email address, company (if you add one), the message itself, and which offer the form belonged to. The hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and troubleshooting.

How it is used

Form messages are used to reply to you and to keep a record of what was discussed. They are also forwarded to my mailbox by email. Nothing you send is added to a newsletter, sold, or shared with advertisers.

Cookies and browser storage

The site sets two essential cookies, a session cookie and a security token, so that forms can be protected against forgery, and it remembers your cookie choice in your browser. Google Analytics (with IP anonymisation) loads only after you accept it in the cookie banner, and its cookies are never set if you reject. There are no advertising cookies. Fonts are served from this site rather than from a font provider. You can change your choice at any time with the button below.

Third-party links

Buttons and links to WhatsApp, Calendly, LinkedIn, GitHub, Facebook and Instagram take you to those services, which have their own privacy policies. This site does not load scripts from them.

Where it is stored and for how long

Messages are stored in the database of this site, on a server that Smit Desai controls, and in the mailbox that receives the copy. They are kept for up to two years so that earlier conversations can be referenced, and deleted sooner if you ask.

Your rights

You can ask what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Use the email button below and the request is handled within a reasonable time, normally a few working days.

Children

This site is aimed at businesses and professionals and is not directed at children under 16. If you believe a child has sent a message, email and it will be removed.

Changes

When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page is updated. Significant changes are summarised here.
