Front end — HTML, CSS and the craft of a fast page.

A great deal of front-end work does not need a framework: it needs clean HTML, considered CSS, accessible markup and attention to performance. I build design systems in Tailwind, convert Figma files to code, and fix the layouts and Core Web Vitals that hold sites back.

01 — What I do with Front end

build, fix, upgrade, audit

Build

01

New Front end work from requirement to production: figma or Adobe XD designs turned into responsive, accessible pages; Tailwind CSS design systems and component libraries; Core Web Vitals, speed and accessibility fixes on existing sites.

Fix and maintain

02

The usual problems in existing Front end systems: layouts that break on phones, 4 MB of CSS, inaccessible forms, and a Lighthouse score nobody wants to show the client.

Upgrade and migrate

03

Bootstrap 3 or 4 to Tailwind, jQuery plugins to native JavaScript, table layouts to CSS grid.

Audit and advise

04

A code, security, performance and SEO audit of your Front end system, with a written plan you can act on with or without me.

02 — Technologies

what each one is for

HTML and CSS

Semantic, accessible markup and modern CSS.

Tailwind CSS

Utility-first styling and design tokens, as on this site.

Bootstrap

Support and upgrades for Bootstrap-based sites.

Alpine.js

Small interactions without a build step.

jQuery

Maintaining and gradually retiring older jQuery code.

03 — Typical projects

what people usually ask for

Front end work
that actually gets ordered.

Three shapes most Front end engagements take. Yours may be a fourth; describe it and I will tell you honestly whether it fits.

  • Figma or Adobe XD designs turned into responsive, accessible pages
  • Tailwind CSS design systems and component libraries
  • Core Web Vitals, speed and accessibility fixes on existing sites

04 — Questions

about Front end work

Can you work from our designer's Figma file?

Yes. I build pixel-faithful, responsive pages from Figma or Adobe XD, and I will flag anything in the design that will hurt accessibility or performance.

Do you fix Core Web Vitals?

Yes: layout shift, slow largest paint, heavy scripts and images. Measured before and after with Lighthouse and real-user data.

How is Front end work priced?

A fixed price for a defined scope, or hourly from $10 depending on the stack, always with a written estimate before any work starts.

How do we start?

Send a short description of what exists and what you need. You get a reply within one working day with questions, then a scope or an estimate.
